I just came back from trying to go check out a new yoga studio. I didn't make it. I looked up how to get to the place online and was happy to find it was only a 15 minute bus ride away. The instructions were to take the bus from the Oakleigh bus depot. Well the depot is really big and I thought it was odd that I couldn't easily find a way in. Finally I did through a parking lot entrance and as I entered I got the feeling I wasn't supposed to be there. There we A LOT of buses and barely any people. Lots of machinery and no bus stops that I could see. I went up to two guys and asked if this was where I got the 703 to Middle Brighton. One smiled at me and said "No, this is the bus depot, where we service the buses." "Right" I said and asked if he knew where I could find the 703 bus stop in that case. We all had a good laugh and he told me I could catch the bus in front of the Macker's. Luckily I learned yesterday that Macker's is what Aussies call McDonald's. hahah so off to the McDonald's I went, with barely any time left to catch the bus. I got to the stop and there was no 703 that stopped there either. Ouf. I decided to come back home and ask my roommates for some directions. Along the way I noticed a bus stop down at the other end where I had passed and I went to take a look. Sure enough it's where I catch the 703 to Middle Brighton. Tomorrow, Friday, or Saturday, I will get to that studio successfully. :)
